Ask HN: Is there someone willing to coach me and other HN'ers in math?

At dang and other mods: there might be a bit of a guideline issue with this post. So if this is deemed as an ad feel free to take it down. I do notice there's a strong sentiment in the HN community of HN'ers wanting to learn math but not progressing in it due to their lives catching up and lack of social support/lack of help. I hope this thread will alleviate that issue a bit.

I believe education is super important, and IMO the spirit to learn new things even if they seem too hard seems like a value HN holds dear. I hold it dear. And it sometimes makes me cross boundaries that I perhaps should not have crossed, which is why I dare to take the risk and post my question anyway. It's simply for the sake of knowledge that otherwise feels unobtainable (I simply know I need help with math).

Hey HN,

I'd like to meet with someone who has a strong mathematical background and loves to teach/coach for 1 hour per week. I want to become better and I'd like to discuss things that I got completely stuck in.

Moreover, I want to develop a learning plan together and want commit to 3 months in advance. I secretly hope that you have an iPad, Wacom or MS Surface stylus since we can then use doodledocs.com [1] to squiggle equations. I can't really pay freelance fees, but I can give a commitment fee. Which is the same per hour as what a Dutch teaching assistant would make (15 euro's).

My goal: get a fundamental understanding of mathematics for data science. I already started in the book Mathematics for Machine Learning.
