I try to have a charitable interpretation of other people's actions, but I can't help but feel like this is the old trick of using "think of the children" to force the leading edge of a wedge on something reprehensible.

This is an absolutely disgusting level of surveillance on developing minds, and trains them to think it's normal to live in a virtual panopticon. It's easy to force societal change by poisoning the impressionable minds of children and simply waiting.
