Scheduled Maintenance: https://archive.org/

After it goes back online, OP's link is unrelated to this post. (Goes to post about ISIS leader's death)

EDIT: Aaand it's back up.

Thank You Jesus! Most important site on the internet if you ask me.

I don't know where else I could find IBM books on 20 year old mainframes.

I agree that a site that backs up the whole internet is the most important site

Doesn't look scheduled. There is nothing over at their Twitter and seems there is a storm going where Internet Archive is hosting bunch of stuff. Probably just a default page they serve if there is 503 responses.

> The folks at Open Library (which is related to Internet Archive) managed to post that they were experiencing power outages.

Edit: Sorry about the unrelated post, but wanted to broadcast the actual error page, not their "scheduled maintenance" page as I don't believe this is either maintenance or scheduled.

Edit2: here is the source tweet from Open Library https://twitter.com/openlibrary/status/1188534203131936768

Of course, it's been down for more than 1 hour. 10 minutes after I submit it to HN, it starts working again.

Maybe it's not viable as an HN post, then? "Network weather is bad" might be notable in the moment but is not really "news" or something we cand discuss.

Wayback Machine is always very very very very slow, it's usually not offline just very slow.
