macOS Catalina Review

I seriously doubt this claim is true. It has taken me years to learn how to use iTunes effectively to create, manage, and edit my extensive music library. I installed the beta release of the new Music app and kicked the tires. In no way is it equivalent to iTunes for managing music. Apple did not simply remove the other components of iTunes and leave the music-related user interface and features intact. It appears to me that the Music app is totally diffferent, both in terms of functionality and appearance.

Now that iTunes is gone in Catalina, the least Apple could do is to release the iTunes source code and allow a team of outside developers to maintain and improve it.
