Ask HN: Does Digital Advertising Alliance's Opt-Out Tool Work for You?

No matter how many times I try in it my browser, the DAA's WebChoices Tool never really seems to do its job. I want to opt-out of all ad companies listed in it. However, it always ends up succeeding for less than 10 companies from over 100 in total, with sometimes just 1 or 2 requests going through. The rest end up showing the message - 'Opt-Out Temporarily Unavailable'.

If you have tried it yourself, please share your experience. To me, it all looks too fishy.
