The stolen Xbox is gone, nobody can buy it. The Ebook can be downloaded no matter how many times someone does so without paying. I'm not sure about books, but at least for US movies/tv-series it can take quite an amount of time to be legally available in Europe. Even if they are available via Hulu inside the US! I understand the reason (earning money by selling licenses to foreign TV channels), but it surely encourages "stealing" the content by using nonofficial media-portals.
