This is amazing. I work in a law office and have nothing to do with tech but just change the examples and he has just described my typical day that replays over and over in matters both large and small.
I have been having the exact same thoughts, except at a public accounting firm. A lot of the comments here describe what is typical in public accounting as well. It seems the moral of the story is that managerialism is hard to make work. Perhaps we should try something else?
