Maybe it went out of style, but it's not entirely wrong...
Well they don't hate us "because of our freedoms" they hate us because we meddle in and around the countries, overthrow their governments and kill their citizens.
It's still used by those that want to deflect away from the very odd and disadvantageous relationship we have with Israel...
