To be honest, that's one of the worst job postings I've read. Cut out every instance of "great", "top-notch", "exceptional", "talented", "dynamic", "experienced", "professional", fast-paced", "innovative", "challenging" ... and replace them with something about your company and why a potential employee should care.

There's a great section in Freakanomics about how such words tend to map to houses on the real estate market. ;-)

WTF is a "Graphic Web Designers"?

I don't even apply at places that can't come up with a real job title.

Are you looking for a Graphic Artist, Web Designer, or Designer? Or, more likely, something like a UI Designer or even UX/IA Engineer?

I suggest you talk to their Talent Acquisition Strategist about silly job titles.

Zoosk isn't a YC company is it? I thought that the Mods were dead-linking ads for companies that weren't YC funded. Either the mods aren't around today... OOOOOoohhhhh.... PG's on his honeymoon. My bad. :)

Perhaps I've had a long day, but this feels a bit like recruitment spam to me.

No, it's not just you. It's PR bull basically. The good HN job posts are witty, humorous, and get to the point without any BS.
