Im becoming more and more tired of companies feeling compelled to nudge me in the direction they want when browsing the web (or doing anything at all, really). Please stop making these products.
Furthermore, just because there is demand for software doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. There are some things we should shy away from doing, even if we can make a buck. I’d venture to say that finding even more subtle ways to squeeze a buck out of someone who doesn’t want your product is an obvious candidate for that list.
