They're "touch surfaces" (fancy speak for capacitive buttons) and they're every bit as tactile as a touchscreen. Which is not at all. The second you try to feel your way across any control surface you'll just randomly trigger all the functions you drag your fingers across without receiving any useful feedback. You
have to look at the buttons before pressing.
They do still have a handful of buttons for commonly used functions on the center console/steering wheel (temperature, sound volume, parking brake, menu navigation) but everything else falls on the touchscreen or capacitive buttons.
