Although I haven't quite cured cancer yet, I'm optimistic that if you give me a billion dollars I'll find a cure for cancer. So can I please have a billion dollars?

Sometimes the answer has to be yes, right? Otherwise how can you ever do something expensive which hasn't been done before?

Good VCs almost never fund the idea, but the team. So, if Atul Gawande comes up and ask that question, he most surely will get it
