Ask HN: How an engineer can find a business cofounder for a startup?

I like being in the new project/company from day 0 (and I already did that a couple of times). I also prefer to focus mostly on technology.

That said, how would you approach problem of finding a business founder? Are there any other ways than reaching out to my personal network?

Once you know the price point you are targetting (assuming you are the CEO) then you would want to find someone with experience distributing software into that price point. Ideally from a position of having done by the IC and decision making roles. So if you are selling software that costs $10k/year, you would want to find someone who had both sold/marketed software directly to customers at $10k/year, and who had ideally also decided it should be $10k as opposed to $1k or $100k, and then tried things until they figured it out. The rest of the "business" stuff is much more learnable (ie. legal, HR, accounting) when the time comes, and won't impact 0-1 success at all.

Some VCs will help put founder teams together even prior to a product being built. Since you said that you had worked on a few startup projects it's worth reaching out to the investors of those projects and letting them know that you're looking for your next startup.

Startup school just started, and you have a few more hours to sign up. There's plenty of people currently looking for co-founders.
