Ask HN: How your hobbies helped you (not expected, expected)?

Hi HNers

Want to know how your hobbies helped you in strange ways you have never expected or expected?

I mean why you do what you do without any expectations?

Is it relaxation or helped you unwind after work or helped you in job career, health etc?

What is it? How it helped you?
