Godot is a multiplatform game engine, similar to unity but open source. It runs on Linux/win/osx and exports to win32, win uwp, iOS, Android and Linux.

The best way to learn godot is to follow along a development tutorial on YouTube.

I HIGHLY recommmend Angega's space shooter tutorial:

It also has support of the web using wasm and html5, *BSD and Haiku.

For those who missed the joke ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waiting_for_Godot

I've actually learned about the play because of all the references to it whenever this engine is mentioned :-P

If it wasnt a joke they uncovered two new things to learn. I didnt know about Waiting for Godot only the game engine.

They might be referring to this free game engine: https://godotengine.org/

I think people missed your joke (or maybe I mistakenly think you joke)
