Poll: What Made You Quit Social Media (FB/IG/Twitter)?

None of these.

I was tired of looking at people who are seemingly having the time of life then in person they tell me about their life issues, their sufferings and all.

So social media felt like a game of fakeness to me when I knew some was deeply suffering inside (because they told me) but on social media they are trying to look cool and fun etc....

So I couldn't really tell from social media alone who is like what in their personal life. Other than holding a particular judgement about someone, it gave me no good clue about them.

So I left the social media.

Second thing is I don't look that good and don't want my photos appearing in others newsfeed and make their day worse. :D

And as a collary of the point, I don't like looking at people who look better than me and be depressed about that.

Focusing on my hobbies and doing some good work for people who trust me etc...gets me more praises and keep me focused and I don't feel like I am inferior after that.

I installed FB a few years back when it started to get popular and everyone was creating accounts. A few days later, a friend of mine posted a picture and tagged me. I hated the fact that I couldn't control that (The security settings were pretty basic back then) so I immediately deleted my account and never looked back.

IG is ok I guess but I'm not really into it since everyone's life appears to be the same.

The only one I really like is Twitter because it lets me stay informed about topics I'm interested in.

FB - Was full of people who were mostly only acquaintances and I wanted to stop wasting time on it.

TW - Found it to be utter shit. Full of either outrage or spam.

IG - Still one it, switched my profile to private and now really enjoy it.
