If you don't own apple products (iPhone, iPad, an Apple computer), this list will be pretty much useless to you unless you haven't heard of dropbox.

Just installed CardStar on my Droid X. Can finally dump the stupid little tags off my keychain (if It works). My device is most certainly not an Apple product.

Either I'm doing something wrong or barcode scanners and OLED screens don't get along. Can't get anything to scan the screen of my Nexus One.

Tried my Droid X at shoprite and it did not scan. Too bad. WOuld have been nice to eliminate those tags.

I'm pretty sure that the majority of people here use an Apple computer.

Apple might have the largest share on HN - but it's certainly not a majority over Win + Linux.

That poll's about a year and a half old - I wonder if it's changed much since then?

http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1511643 this was more recent (6 months). It included emacs which brought "Other" up a bit.

Linux: Went from 36.4% to 39.3%

OSX: Went from 38.1% to 31.4%

Windows: Went from 21.9% to 23.4%

Other: Went from 3.6% to 5.9%

It would be better to see actual OSes used by visitor. Maybe one of the maintainers could provide this data.
