The irony in this statement is fantastic. Thank you for humbly making this post and giving me a good laugh.

I'm not humble, but I've learned to fake it pretty well.

The trouble is most people believe me when I say I'm not that smart.

And so was born the pervasive humble brag.

Prior to reading this article, I was arrogant and conceited. Now I know to proceed through life with intellectual humility in order to amass knowledge.

I'm at least 10% humbler than you are.

Came here to say that - actually, I'm impersonating a humble person, which is even better. I feel like I'm still getting the benefit of superior knowledge.

You can be humble and still believe you know more than other people. The issue arises when your self-reported knowledge exceeds your actual knowledge.

I think I'm much more humble than you would understand.
