Provide options to let users add/remove from their whitelist. At least that's what I want to see.

You can choose from a wide variety of addons that do exactly that or something similar.

Mozilla is not competing as an advertiser or tracker. They are competing as a browser maker against other browser makers, who are generally also advertisers/trackers. So there is no conflict of interest with them coming up with such a whitelist, because not whitelisting their competitors does not benefit them.

Mozilla's decision to create sneaky whitelist in the first place puts it into slimy side of things.

FAANG? Looks like neither Apple nor Netflix is on the tracker whitelist.
