Holland is quite easy to get into for skilled people. I don't know your field but if you're in IT, finance or anything healthcare you should be fine.
Your salary will take a hit though, it's not the salaries you're used to from the U.S
I've worked with Europeans before (French mostly) and am familiar with the work life balance :) Kinda jealous of it :P
