Plus.
Unless we find a new type of energy production that is more efficient, clean and powerful (in several orders of magnitude) than the existing ones, blockchain tech is absurd to develop.
Actually, any tech that requires more energy than an other, without a benefit that _obviously_ balances this loss (opportunity to use this energy for something more useful), is absurd to develop.
See, you technically could move this block of cement from point A to point B by pushing it with your feets. But it's more efficient to spend some effort to lift it on a platform with wheels, and then push the platform.
In this analogy platform+wheels is the existing intermediaries we have in businesses/workflows, and it works.
Blockchain is the equivalent of replacing the wheels and platform with a magic carpet. It works, only it requires an amount of energy (not to deplete other more urgent needs) + technical proficiency (not to screw up things) that's not available in our reach today.
You want to dis-intermediate the world with blockchain. Fine. Find a way to make it energy on-par with existing tech.
I completely agree with you on this. But lets aside the effort and energy part for a few seconds and talk on the outcome and even then I am not able to see any impact on the current system. Even I see many multimillion frauds in ICOs, STOs and whatever the fancy term they are generating each day.
