Hmm, given that the current 2-day often turns out to be 3 or 4, I am not wildly optimistic about 1-day. But at least Amazon aren't just ratcheting up the Prime dues without actually offering more to customers.

Happens all the time. There are like 10 sub categories of Prime delivery....
There seems to be some mixed experience here. I saw other people in a different thread saying that it wasn't that surprising given the fact that they get 60 or 70% of their orders next-day.
Probaby has to do with location, proximity to warehouses, and logistics of certain areas.
Very much so... also, a lot of the time I see items that don't even ship for a few days. I don't think this will significantly change much, it's just they've decided that they crossed the threshold that they can advertise under the new constraint.
So I can get counterfeit goods with fake reviews faster? Meh.
