I'd be more likely to look at this article if it wasn't hidden behind the byzantine and user-hostile Oath "GDPR" gateway.

Then maybe you should check a source that's not owned by Verizon (that also owns Oath)?

I'm pretty sure that there are other sources posted in this thread.
