Effectively all military missions are planned in PowerPoint, and I don't think Microsoft shaped that product with battlefield efficiency in mind.

Yeah can confirm - OPORD briefs are given in powerpoint with neat graphics and an accompanying paper narrative. Make sure you have the right font and color scheme, though.
