Not sure how much you care, but your example for .slice() is wrong.
.slice(1,3) will give you elements two and three. You're looking for .slice(0,3)
.slice(1,3) will give you elements two and three. You're looking for .slice(0,3)
[1,2,3].slice(1, 3)
> [2, 3]
