Someone has to host the 1000000+ packages for nodejs and maintain npm. I always wondered why npmjs, nexus, artifactory etc. don't consider a model where they act as middlemen for licensing F/OSS or post-AWS open source-licensed packages, taking their cut and give the rest to the developers, because I think something like that is seriously needed.
