Amazon’s HQ2 deal isn’t looking great for Arlington County

So basically the government collects taxes ... to give to Amazon?

I feel like tax breaks are questionable at some times, but straight up taxing other businesses / people and handing it over to another company seems absurd / poor governance.

- No minimum wage for construction workers

- No contribution to affortable housing fund

- 15% of all local hotel tax increases

- $23 million to Amazon from local gov if they hit 3 goals measured in office space square footage over time
