Show HN: IdBloc – Use a different email address for every website
I've been thinking about how we use password generators to create a unique password for every login to increase security, but most of us use the same email address as the login identifier on every website and mailing list out there. It's a big privacy and security hole that isn't easily plugged (e.g. anyone who knows your email address has a starting point to start trying to get into your account, it's easy to track emails across websites etc.)
To solve this I've created https://idbloc.co
It’s a web app that lets you generate random, untraceable email addresses that forward to your actual email address. You can use it for signing up to different services, mailing lists or just anywhere an email address is required and you don’t want to give your real email out.
It's free to use right now, and I would appreciate any feedback!
