Did Tumblr Just Reverse Take Down 4Chan?

That image is a bit funny...

"at 5pm Eastern Time we point our LOICs at Tumblr. Their IP address is: 174.120.238.130"

What sort of insane webapp would only have 1 IP? Either 4chan are terribly naive, or Tumblr are.

A dig lookup seems to suggest Tumblr are insane.

Seems like an epeen contest, why is this on the front of HN?

Usually 4chan has some clearly stated/inferred reason they do these attacks. Anyone know why they picked tumblr?

From what I understand, the tumblr community has taken a liking to a meme ("what is air?", used to denote the lack of air after laughing profusely at said picture) created by 4chan without attribution.

tumblr has been down for a while for me, 4chan isn't down though, http://boards.4chan.org/v/, 4chan.org (the front page) being inaccessible is probably 4chan laughing at tumblr users.

back in the day, rival groups sorted their issues on the streets. How things have changed!

Has anyone else had a hard time figuring out what tumblr is even supposed to be? Even twitter's purpose is pretty clear next to them...
