Ask HN: Online profiles of successful freelance consultants

Greetings,

I have recently been having successful freelance contracts, and I'm now exploring the possibility of working as a freelance consultant.

I'm following the basic advice of "fake it till you make it", so I want to find out about other people with similar business arrangements. And how they market themselves, both digitally and in real life.

I'm closer to an IT consultant and seek examples in that area, but all types of consultants are welcome. Personal webpages, LinkedIn profiles, or just excerpts without revealing the names would be great too. I'm interested titles, bios and how people define themselves in general.
