Ask HN: Wedding photo sharing app or website?

Most weddings nowadays seem to ask guests to post their photos to Instagram, using a specific hashtag. This doesn't work out well, because most peoples' profiles are set to private, which means their photos are only visible to their Instagram connections. It would be nice if all the wedding guests could share photos between each other easily. There seems to be several apps for this purpose, but I doubt many guests would be willing to go through the hassle of installing an app, registering, entering a code, etc. just for this purpose. Would a self-hosted website work for this purpose? Any other ideas?
