https://gnucash.org/ is a mature project that allows you to manage expenses & assets, perform analytics, and doesn't require supplying personal information to third parties (plaid in this case)
I haven’t managed to get gnucash to download transactions from my bank. Do you do that? Or do you just manually record everything?
Download an export and import it into gnucash. It remembers previously processed items. It's a manual process, but much easier to do a monthly export than record items one by one.
