It’s a nice train of thought, but it’s not a great essay. Good enough for a bar conversation but I don’t think it is saying much as currently written.

What is metazoan computing?

Given that our discrete computers encode many analog models, what exactly is he suggesting will be so now that it constitutes a new era?

Reads a little like the writings of someone who so wants to say something bigger than everyone else that they end up not saying anything to anyone.

Analog models are neat though, and pondering “could we do this analog” a good question to have in the design quiver.
