Seems odd to me to waste so much time and money and risk to lives when one can simply drive a mine flail through any given area to clear it of mines.

How expensive do you think it is to operate a mine flail? Especially factoring in transport to remote areas?

what price do you put on a life?

How much money are you spending on mine clearance globally?

Because not everyone who is affected by mines has infinite money available.
