Yes, I suppose. I still think this would have bipartisan support in congress as well as support from the public, regardless of affiliation.

Awesome. I’d like them to spend their high powered lawyers here and at least drive the conversation and influence legislation. This is more than just abstract theory where it might affect a few thousand. This affects every citizen.

Every single time someone says "where was the ACLU when X happened?" (Usually in the context of a conservative's civil rights being violated) a quick search shows that the ACLU was defending that person or at least speaking out against it. They're pretty consistent in their principles, even when arrayed against liberals, as comes up from time to time when political correctness is on the line.
