It seems pretty obvious that they need a physical therapist or a rehab physician (probably both) on staff. Ortho surgeons are great if you need immediate surgical intervention... and that's about it. Leave the rehabilitation to the people who specialize in it.

It depends on the injury. I would trust the medical professional here.

It makes me really sad to hear all of this. I've suffered from back pains myself in the past and stretching should NOT be the only option.
