I have gotten it to work on NixOS with it. I've read that it also works with Arch.

Make sure kdeconnectd is running, that your appindicator tray bar is working, and that your devices are on the same network

Glad to know I'm not the only one here running that combo. Unfortunately, my phone is from the dark ages so I won't be able to verify that it works.
