Is this for real? This this a kind of w4 or just some new missions/stories?

It's a remaster in the same spirit as Starcraft Remastered. Higher resolution textures, higher polygon counts, better animation, higher resolution options. Same game.

How is that the max resolution is still 1024 x 800 ?

What do you mean? The trailer indicates that it's going to be in 4k.

Well the system requirments say something else

That's a minimum recommendation. Pretty sure most people out there don't plan to run this on Pentium II's

Gameplay trailer states 4k resolution (55 seconds in) https://youtu.be/Q2zfx5hQ3CE

the latest patches for W3 already support Full HD.

This is a remaster of Warcraft3. Which means, updated graphics, but proabably mostly a 1:1 copy of the original game.

It was announced at BlizzCon, which is happening these days.

The graphics don't seem updated (i.e. max resolution is 1024 x 786)

You and thefounder have both said things like this, but I don't understand - the trailer is pretty clear that it's going to be in 4k.

My bad...it seems I read the minimum requirements. It seems it's going to be 4K which is awesome! W3 is the best (and last) game I've ever played.

Even the original WC III had no explicit limit on max resolution AFAIK.

This is Warcraft III, remastered. This is not Warcraft IV. Just like it says on the tin.

It's a remake of Warcraft 3. Kinda like the final fantasy 10 remake
