Ask HN: Why Apple Notes have two search boxes?

To the UX experts: when one tries to search through apple Notes inside the app, it's a two step process. First, type the query into the search box in the title bar. Then, select a note and ⌘F to search within the note, possibly repeating the process with another note.

Question: why can't you do it in one go? And highlight the matches from the start?
