What you are complaining about, is that you are being taught:

a) a system of mathematics. b) the wrong one. c) in an extremely disconnected fashion.

I have a particular gift for mathematics. But it drove me nuts trying to go through a Western curriculum. Often, everything was backward, over-simplified to the point of stupidity, or just straight....
