Westwood Studios. I loved their games including their final game C&C Renegade, even though EA rushed Renegade out the door and shut the studio down.

OMG, I’m so glad somebody mentioned Westwood Studios...

Check this out btw (Red Alert 2):

C&C Red Alert 2 and C&C Generals were the best RTS games ever made, hands-down. Much of my life was spent playing these games.

Nice! I've tried OpenRA and enjoyed it, but for whatever reason Tiberium Sun captured my attention the most :)

Ahhh, the memories of spending after-school hours buying and selling silos for extra money (there was some thinko in the game logic - full silo was sold for more money than it cost to build, or something like that) in their first C&C game to build a massive army and crush the AI opponent. :)

full silo was sold for more money than it cost to build

Seems like it makes sense though, since it would be full of money (ore)

C&C didn't have ore, it had Tiberium. Red Alert had ore and diamonds.

Red Alert is also C&C though :P

The trouble was that if you had many silos, when you built a new one, it got filled with tiberium from other silos and I think that when you sold the tiberium would get redistributed back to the other silos. Anyway, all I remember is that you could generate free money just by buying and selling silos in a loop (if you already had many silos and they were full).

Whilst the studio is dead, there are rumors of remastered C&C(s) on the horizon from EA.

Nox. Oh Nox.

Nox was a fun lan game for sure

Great game

All the afternoons after school playing this game with friends. So much fun. I also remember the humor of discovering lag and kill lag.

Microprose studios.

Despite all the corny acting in their in-game dialogue, if they released a movie based on C&C, I would definitely go watch it.

RIP Westwood. They made some awesome games and I spent so many hours playing them...
