Google Pixel Slate

This is just the slate page, which is remarkably similar to the iPad Pro 12"/Surface Pro.

The re-imagined Chrome OS looks in the screen shots that they "imagined" what it would look like to implement an iOS UX on ChromeOS :-). Only half joking because most UX people I know tell me that if you set the parameters tightly enough you get the same kind of product out the other end[1].

Seems like it will be seriously challenged to land in an already pretty hotly contested space, but we'll have three entrants (four if Samsung revives the Galaxy Tab) the Surface Pro 6, the iPad Pro 2018, and the Google Pixel slate. Fun times for gadget lovers.

[1] This was also the saving grace of the Lotus 123 / Borland "look and feel" case for spreadsheets.
