You're absolutely correct. They have a maximum and minimum averages, but I don't know how they work them out, so I'm not going to post them.

Python seems to have a slightly bigger following in the sciences, at least in my limited experience. That could be pulling salaries up a bit.

Lisp: £47,422

Perl: £44,300 (£45,500 if you count "CPAN" as Perl)
