The founder/CEO of Tidelift is actually participating in a keynote panel this morning at the NumFOCUS summit.
I get it, it's fun to be cynical about things, but these are folks that are legitimately trying to help.
As a practical matter it's a bit different from what we built first, both in terms of what customers are looking for / who the customers are, and in terms of the technical details of how we'd analyze dependencies. So we don't have support for it yet. But I would like to figure it out when we have enough team bandwidth.
