When someone describes something as a movement I think various actors making conscious choices towards a prescribed point or condition or state of being, whereas the natural evolution I speak of is more of an change that comes from various actors resulting in that state of being or condition-a result that occurs organically in a marketplace or industry.

I suppose at surface level they would be seen as one in the same but unpacked there may be critical distinctions.
