Ask HN: Digital nomading within the US?
I rented an apartment for myself at age 26-28 and then financial problems forced me to move back with my mom. But I can't be stuck a late bloomer forever. I have a 4-door car I own and outside of just some brake fixes that it needs I'd be set for driving long-distance now.
I know some people work remotely as digital nomads. Is this possible within the US? I am not really considering foreign countries due to having more complications to them.
For budget, I make about $1,300 gross per month and that is about $15,600 gross yearly. That could become more per month if the company I work for decides to give me more work and so far they are happy with it. This comes from only working 10 hrs a week so I have lots of room to grow.
I plan to travel and sleep in my car to save money on housing, occasionally stopping by a hotel or AirBNB. And without getting caught up in analysis paralysis, I just want to wing it sometimes and still not get myself into a serious problem.
