anyone else stopped watching mixergy ever since it stopped being live? Before I'd use to watch every day, but now it's much faster to just read the transcript of the few stories that actually catch my attention.

I miss having you at the live interviews.

I'm having a hell of a time getting enough bandwidth in my new office. I can't believe I had a better connection at Regus's Argentina office than I have at their DC office.

You are in Washington D.C.? Come join us next Monday at the D.C HN meetup.

I am only here briefly, will be going back to Australia and would love to catch up with as many metro-folks as possible :-)

Any chance of an Australian (Brisbane) HN meetup?

I am strictly NSW, but you have a place in Sydney if you ever venture south :-)

(Sorry, we're a Cooper's household, so check the four-X at the door ;-)

yeah it sucks, since interaction was a big + for live

I guess there is a high chance of no live mixergy till you leave DC

@vaksel, nope. I still watch and listen. Often, the best interviews are the ones you initially dismiss because the guests aren't known for crushing it under 4 hours every week. :)

I came here to post that I was happy there was a transcript, because I abhor video interviews — I'd rather scan for information that interests me.

The audio interviews give you a chance to really absorb what the person is saying.

Because it's slower than reading the transcripts, I can think of how to apply the new ideas while they are talking.

Same. Prefer text or audio. I can speed-read text, or continue working while listing to audio. Video monopolizes both my time and control of the info rate.

I listen to the audio still while commuting or around the house, but often read the transcripts if I don't have as much time.

For some guests I really like to watch the video as it helps connect with the guest and Andrew.

I don't think I would have even started using mixergy if it wasn't for the video and the visual connection with Andrew and the guests though.

Ah so thats whats up. I was wondering why I had heard/seen so little of mixergy on HN recently.

Now that you talk about it, I've actually watched very few of the live interviews but I think the live interviews due to the time sensitivity would hit the #1 story quite often and thus kept mixergy's name fresh in my mind.

I just listen to the audio podcast while on the go or doing mindless tasks. Slower than reading, but you get the full flavor that comes from hearing people's voices.

I think you miss a lot by only reading the transcripts. I listen to the audio version of mixergy on the commute to work.

Jessica.. you're going to be a really successful computer person. And you're going to grow up thinking that guys don't like you because you're a geek. I want you to know that's not the case - they're not going to like you because you're an asshole.

Just kidding, Jessica. Nice job on this interview.

love love love Mixergy. Keep up the great work, Andrew!
