Ask HN: An international web hosted hackathon site for developers worldwide

Will you be willing to join a web site that hosted international hackatons several days in a month aimed at solving various worldwide challenging problems.

My reason for wanting to build this is mostly due to the surplus of such events at some locations and the glut of them at other locations, I believe this will help bridge this supply gap and will also serve as a place where developers around the world get to see how their counterparts at other locations work.
