Intel has no chance in servers and they know it

That's quite a bit of hyperbole. Intel enjoys a near-monopoly in that market; when Krzanich recently stated [1] that it was "Intel's job to not let AMD capture 15-20% market share", Intel took a dive. Their worst-case scenario was only controlling 80%... That's anything but "no chance in servers".

Flagged for hyperbole. Intel will hopefully have more competition but it’ll take more than The Register-esque blithe sniping to support “no chance”, especially given how much inertia the enterprise market has.

The headline seems odd given Intel's market share seems to be about 98.7 per cent.

Is it simply a piece of AMD commercials? Or the author just hates Intel? It feels like fake new stamped all over the article. Or is it just another onion that excels at bashing Intel?

This same site was saying Nvidia was dead/dying for years. I'd take anything they say with a grain of salt.

How has AMD managed to come up with more processor and speed count the Intel? Why now?
