Ask HN: help.. Startups and H1b visas

Can startups hire people from abroad? What are technical, financial, or any other difficulties involved in it? I am currently working in Ireland (not a citizen) and want my next job to be with a startup, which are rarely found in Ireland. So, I am considering to move to US for the same. Any help will be really appreciated!
